Tudor palace

I recently picked up a leaflet about Woking Palace. Although I do not actually live in Woking it is near enough for me to be completely surprised that this palace was there and I had never heard of it before. It is not open all the time but they have open days and we were delighted to be able to take advantage of one of these to visit the site. We were very impressed with the work that has been carried out by the Friends and were sorry that the weather was so poor this weekend.

There was a magnificent display of bluebells in the copse.

There are further opportunities to visit the site and even take part in an archaeological dig later in the summer.
