Transcribing the past

Two years ago I signed up for an on-line course leading to a postgraduate certificate in family and local history with the University of Dundee. This month I received my certificate. I thouroughly enjoyed this course and I have learnt a huge amount. All I need now is the time to pursue my research!! In particular I enjoyed the palaeography. So much so, in fact, that not content with English palaeography, I then went on to Scots palaeography, which involved dealing with another language, or rather two languages, Scots and Latin. Although I have some knowledge of Latin I felt somewhat at a disadvangtage with Scots, but I am always eager to experience new languages. A very fascinating and rewarding experience.
