Can’t stop translating

Perhaps it is because I see so many examples of bizarre translations into English but I can’t stop translating. I read a sign on the side of an vending machine and immediately I start pondering the possible translations. What would I expect to see on a similar machine in the UK? How succint can I make my version?

Last week I saw a sign advertising train trips in Southern Spain. The “English” translation praised the “tryving” views. What was the translator trying to say? Was it a typo? The Spanish word was “espectacular”. What on earth was wrong with translating it as “spectacular”.  “Spectacular” is indeed what the views are.
